A cute little farm tractor cake for one of my daughter’s co-workers.
It’s a simple two-layer chocolate cake with a raspberry filling and buttercream frosting.
The tractor was made from Rice-Krispie treats and covered in fondant. The pumpkins are all fondant as well. I thought a little pumpkin patch would be the perfect fall crop for this cake.
The tractor wasn’t too terribly difficult but I need to make sure I really, really compress the cereal treats together. It was pretty loose in places so wasn’t as stable as I would have liked.
One of these days I’ll remember to take a few pictures showing the progress. I just get so into it that I don’t remember to snap a few photos along the way.
