FO Friday – Afghan and placemats

Oh it’s been so long since I’ve finished anything crochet. These two things have actually been done for a while and I’m only now just getting around to showing them off.

This is an afghan test I did for Julie Yeager called Savannah Round Ripple. The color combinations and possibilities are endless with this design. It’s also a very easy project with simple repeats to work on in the car or in front of the TV.

I had some bright pink and green that I had no idea what to do with and thought this would be perfect. The finished project is a bit small but perfect as a baby blanket or even for a toddler bed. You can see my grandson just had to get in on the picture.

I finished another set of placemats. This one for my Seahawks loving daughter. The colors were as close as I could with this particular yarn. I used my favorite colorblock placemat pattern and Lion’s Brand 24/7 Cotton yarn.

I still have several more color combinations in the works and need to hurry up and finish my red, white and blue one for the fair. I want to try and enter something this year. It’ll be my first time I always say I want to, I just never think about it until the fair starts.
