This last weekend I finally made it out to the tulip fields in Skagit Valley. It’s not the Netherlands but we do have our own little tulip valley about 45 minutes from my house. I’ve lived here for 12 years now and this is the first time I’ve been to the fields, can you believe it? I guess it’s true, you never see what is in your own back yard.
I just loved all of the colorful rows of tulips. Absolutely gorgeous!
It was hard getting good pictures though. Way too many people taking advantage of the first break in the rain we’ve had all week. You can see how wet and muddy the fields were. My grandson got his boot stuck and fell on his butt. We couldn’t get to him in time and then all we could do is laugh. What else are you going to do?
It was a pretty windy day as well and the kite dude was displaying his kites. I had to take a few pictures because they were such cool kites. Aren’t they fun?
