Well I am getting some things done for Christmas gifts this year. I’m finally a little ahead of the game getting things done. The set was made using Deborah Norville Everyday Soft Worsted, which is anti-pilling and so soft. Makes great hats, scarves and mitts.
I made the Isar scarf into a cowl.
The hat is actually a heavily modified design from the Isar scarf and Weekender Slouchy Hat. I couldn’t find a hat pattern that I liked that went with the cowl so came up with my own design.
These Lacy Fingerless Mitts matched the cowl and hat perfectly. The only thing I did was lengthen the wrist portion a bit.
And finally two Tunnel Scarves. The purple one I made while testing the pattern was claimed by my daughter. I like the colors of the second one better, it’s more my style. The yarn is a lovely acrylic I ordered from Webs called On-Line 323 Tasco.
I have been working on Christmas presents all summer–it is nice to have some things done in plenty of time, isn’t it? All of your items are beautiful!

Thank you! I always say I am going to get things started early but then never do. This is the first time I have actually managed to get some things done. First the afghan, now these.

Thank you! I love the yarn I used, the shades, the silver thread that is running through it.
