FO Friday – I actually finished something!

It is done! It is finally done! I started this booger January 2012 and just finished it off last night. I made so many squares for this thing and tossed half of them aside because I didn’t like it all together. I’m still not 100% happy with it, but it will have to do.

For the border I wanted to replicate a few of the stitches used in some of the blocks. I bordered each block with cream and then whip stitched them together using the back loop only. The whole afghan was then bordered with sc around. Next round was a dc, ch1, sk next st, dc around, with 4 dc in each corner. Next round was a puff stitch in each space and ch1, with 2 puff stitches in each corner a ch3 between the two stitches. Next round was hdc in each space and puff stitch. Finished it off with a reverse single crochet or crab stitch. 

Here is a list of the different squares I used in the afghan. Starting from top left corner and moving right. Start each row left to right. Please note that they are Ravelry patterns so you’ll have to have a Ravelry account to follow the links. Most of them are free patterns as well. I think a couple may be paid patterns but I did them as part of a crochet-along so they were free at the time.
