I decided to use the French baguette and tomatoes to make Bruschetta. I have a basil plant growing in a pot on in my kitchen window so I had all of the ingredients.
Tomato & Basil Bruschetta
I chopped up some tomato into small pieces and chopped some fresh basil. Mixed it with the tomato and added about 3 cloves of minced garlic. Added a splash of olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
I cut the baguette in to about 1/2 inch slices and popped them in a 400 degree oven for about 5 minutes. I flipped the bread slices over and baked another 5 minutes. Then I spooned my tomato mixture onto the nice warm slices of bread. Yummy!
