Banana Bread

banana bread

Oh how I love my banana bread.  There isn’t anything better than watching your bananas getting brown spots and knowing that they will soon become banana bread.

I think this is the best recipe I have ever tried. I know everyone says that their’s is the best and you know what, it just might be. But maybe I haven’t tried it yet and maybe it is better than this one, but until I try and find one better than this I’m going to stick to my guns and say this one is the best. Yep, it’s fattening! I don’t play around with applesauce or any other low fat substitutions. I use butter! Yes, butter. You just have to indulge sometimes. Hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

Banana Bread

1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 teaspoon soda
1 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
1 cup banana mashed
1 1/2 cups flour
1 cup pecans chopped

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix butter, sugar, and eggs together. Fold in dry ingredients sifted together, add mashed bananas and nuts. Bake in loaf pan, 9×5 inches, 40-50 minutes.
