So a week or so ago I posted my efforts and reconstructing a thread coaster that I liked but couldn’t find the original pattern. Since then I’ve made two more coasters. Using the same thread, the same hook and same pattern. Each successive coaster was a bit bigger. I’ve always known I’ve had an issue with keeping the same tension but this really demonstrates how bad it gets once I get comfortable with a pattern. I will probably switch to a smaller hook to finish the last one I want to make. But in general I really think I need to work on maintaining an even tension with every project.
