I thought I would update my blog pages a bit to keep in with a holiday theme. I love this time of year but….
I can’t believe we are already in to December. Where has the year gone so fast? I’ve been dreading this month for a while now due to my job situation. The company I’ve been working for, for almost 7 years now, is going to close it’s doors on December 15th. I’ll still have some work to do for a while cleaning up outstanding files and things but it’ll quickly be over and then I’m out on my ear. I’ve been looking but not a lot of great prospects in this area and especially at this time of year.
There is one possible job that would require me to move two hours away that does the same thing I do here but even that one is starting to sound as if they’re not sure they want to hire me. I shouldn’t have done it, but I sort of put all my eggs in that one basket thinking I’d get offered the job immediately. Now a month later she’s telling me she’ll have to really think about it due to some things going on in her company. Not a good sign, not a good sign at all. But for now I’m going to play Scarlett O’Hara…”I’ll think about that tomorrow” and just enjoy the holiday season the best I can.
I still need to go out and get a tree. We’ll go to the local tree farm and cut down a huge tree and then spend three days decorating it! Then the baking…I always bake way too much but it’s not Christmas without my tray full of cookies. This is my tree and tray of cookies from last year.

I still have my shopping to do, I’m a serious procrastinator. I also have tons of crochet projects I’m feverishly working on trying to get done in time but I’ll save that all for another post. No worries my kids will see this…I hope!
A Little of This and a Little of That 
Sucks to hear about your job; a similar thing is going on at mine. Yesterday I had to meet people to tell them that they’re either laid off or having to take reduced hours. I’ve done this 4 times in 20 months and it’s very difficult … every time.
My prayers are with you re finding a job. In the meantime, I’m praying that we both get out of our job woes funk and enjoy our favourite time of year! (((hugs)))
