I made these cute little icicle ornaments for my daughter’s Christmas tree. It seems that she doesn’t have any of my handmade ornaments and asked me to make her some. This is what I have done so far. Which is about the extent of my finished objects again this week.
My plan is to make a few clothespin angels, some snowflakes and stockings. I would like to start making sets of ornaments for all of my kids each year so they have something new to hang every year. We’ll see.
The icicles are made from size 10 crochet thread and then soaked in a stiffening solution and wrapped around pencils until dry. I got the pattern from an old crochet magazine put out by Herrschner’s years ago.
hi can you tell me how you made them
thank you

Hi Fran…off the top of my head I think it was a chain and then two rows of hdc, I will have to see if I can find my notes. I’m not sure of the number of stitches.
