Another Thanksgiving gone by

I have to say that I really wish I knew where time was going. It seems like just a couple of days ago I was posting pictures and writing about Halloween. Now Thanksgiving has come and gone.  I hope everyone had a great day visiting with family and/or friends! I hope you all had someone to spend the day with.

We spent the holiday at my brother’s place. I’m not quite used to getting pictures of everything so no food pictures, but boy did we have an awesome spread. I made some yummy appetizer meatballs, a crab and artichoke dip, fudge and Scotchy Peanut Butter Bars for our snacking pleasure before dinner. My SIL made the turkey, mashed potatoes and sauteed fresh green beans. I pretty much rounded out the rest of the meal with stuffing, candied sweet potatoes, coleslaw and Three Corn Casserole. My daughter brought a great green mixed salad with dried cranberries, pears, walnuts, feta cheese with a nice balsamic dressing. Perfect fit to the meal. For dessert we had Pumpkin Pie and Dutch Apple Pie.   Yes, gluttony was in the house yesterday!

We played a few games and had a bunch of laughs. Now isn’t that what Thanksgiving means? Being thankful that I had someplace to go with great food and great company. Now to get ready for Christmas.  I am so not ready and I know it’s going to be here too soon!
