I don’t understand why I am so surprised that not everyone loves crochet as much as I do. Silly people, don’t they know it is a great, relaxing and portable hobby?
- Crocheting while watching a movie keeps my hands so busy I don’t have time for snacking! So it’s a great help in weight loss, right?!
- Need something to do while at the doctor’s office? Pull out your granny squares or scarf or similar small project…you know there’s never decent reading material there. All the good recipes have already been pulled out.
- There’s nothing better than curling up in a nice crocheted afghan on a cold, blustery day reading a book…or better yet…crocheting something else!
- You can’t find safer toys for little ones than ones you’ve made yourself!
I suppose I could go on and on but I’d be preaching to the choir I’m sure. It just surprises me that people aren’t more interested in learning a new skill or hobby. They seem to think it’s going to make them a little old cat lady I guess. How little they know.
So from one little old cat lady to another….off to start another project!
You’re not a little old cat lady? I had the cutest little picture of you in my head…

I know what you mean! I’m 18 and I’ve been crocheting for years. When I tell people I love to crochet, they think I’m weird and they call me a grandma. Of course they think I’m the coolest person ever when I can whip up something inspired by their favorite thing that you wouldn’t be able to get anywhere else. You just gotta do what you love no matter what others think.

I wanted to double like because the only like was from someone with a cat as their profile picture 🙂 (Cats are good). I know what you mean about not being able to get people to crochet, that is why I started blogging in the first place, to find people like you that understand my addiction!

Yes! It is an addiction…do they have a Crocheters Anonymous?

Cheers to all the little old cat ladies! Interestingly, knitting seems to be more popular for the younger cat ladies. Crochet is so underrated. 😦

I know! I have been trying to get people together for a lil ole stitch and bitch and just can’t get any interest. So if they aren’t crocheting…or knitting…what are they doing in their spare time?
